I don’t even know how to start this blog post. I am elated? I am ecstatic? I am over the moon with excitement? You guys, this month was one of the most exciting months for my business that I’ve ever, ever had. I am so excited to tell you all about it. I have been a professional children’s photographer for over 15 years now. I never in my wildest dreams would have ever expected to tell you what I’m about to tell you.
As many of you know, I am extremely passionate about helping others. I am a huge people pleaser, sometimes to a fault. I am especially passionate about helping photographers who are just getting started out in this industry. I have made my fair share of mistakes, and would love to share those with anyone willing to listen. There are so many things that I wish I was told when I first started. If I can help just one photographer avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made, I feel I’ve done my job.
Over the last two months, I have been working very hard on a couple surprises that will not only help other photographers, but are really, really exciting for my own Boulder photography business. I am honored, and beyond excited to announce that earlier this month at the national convention for professional photographers, Imaging USA held in Nashville, Tennessee, I was offered a sponsorship by the one-and-only, most amazing photography lab out there, Miller’s Lab. They are a family owned business that started in 1939 by Bill Miller. We have been using Miller’s lab for many, many years and are beyond thrilled about this partnership. Seeing my name listed beside such amazing photographers as Lindsay Adler, Jaime Schultz, Keri Meyers, Laura Winslow, and Joy Vertz just to name a few, is an absolute honor. Being sponsored as a professional photographer by a lab of such caliber, will not only help me get in front of other photographers that are ready to learn, but it will grant me the opportunity to speak at large conferences just like the one I came from earlier this month. This makes me squeal with excitement; this also makes me break out in a cold sweat. Public speaking has always been on my goal list. I will spend the majority of the year ahead working on topics that I truly feel are beneficial to new and experienced photographers alike.
Here’s the thing … without all of your help, support, positive thoughts, and encouragement over the years, I would have never, ever dreamed of being in such an amazing place in my life. I am truly grateful to have each and every one of you in my life. You guys mean the world to me. And I really mean that.
More exciting news on the way … just waiting for the links. You guys, 2015 is going to be THE year, I just know it.
Thank you again!
xo,
Jenni
