it drives me crazy to see my own kid covered in food … but seeing a client’s baby covered in cake during their 1st birthday cake smash session? pure joy! there’s something so special about photographing a cake smash session. everyone gets so excited (even if the baby has no idea what cake is yet!). we decorate the studio with balloons and banners. mom brings a perfectly decorated cake to smash within seconds of arriving. and dad’s ready to eat the leftovers. it’s really a win, win if you ask me!
this little guy’s cake smash session was no different. i’ve had the joy of photographing this handsome little man since his in-home newborn photography session last year. i documented his first time rolling over and holding his head up. we photographed him sitting at his 6 month session and playing with his favorite toys at his 9 month session. as you can imagine, i was super excited to photograph his 1st birthday cake smash session in-studio recently! how cute is he?! happy birthday, little man! we love you to the moon and back and look forward to photographing you as you grow into the handsome young man you’ll be. xo
