Please just Let the Kids be.

It’s ok if they don’t want to sit still and only want to run. That’s their nature. So let’s just let the kids be, shall we?!
It’s ok if they don’t want to say “cheeeeeeeeese” and look at my camera. In fact, I prefer they didn’t.

Please, do me a favor?

Let the kids just be. Let them be kids. Let them be silly. Let them be wild and free.
I’m a mom. I get it. And my job isn’t to judge your parenting skills.

It’s to document your kids exactly how they really are.

I want to see their personalities shine. I want to photograph every google little grin, and every rock they find on the trail.

Trust me, I totally understand.

Sometimes family photography can feel really stressful. What will we wear? Will the kids behave? Will my husband actually agree to the session?
 
But no matter what your kids do (or don’t do) during our time together will not surprise me. I promise you, I’ve seen it all. If not by my own children, by someone elses over the last 2 decades as a professionl photographer.

And please, please, pretty please … just take a deep breath.

Remember that this is supposed to be fun. The whole point is to capture the love and relationship between you and your little ones (and don’t forget your spouse). So please arrive ready to have fun for your Boulder family photos. I know I will.
