As course creators and coaches, we want to see our clients succeed, but what if they aren’t seeing the results they are hoping for? I was having a conversation with one of my VIP clients about this, and it was weighing on her a lot. She said she was afraid that going to the next level would mean more visibility and more people buying her program. And she was worried about her clients not getting results.

Here’s the hard truth about the success rates of your students: As a course creator or a coach, it is not your responsibility to get your clients results. It is your responsibility to help them get results and to show them how, but not to do it for them.

So, how do we set these expectations?

Educate your clients not only about their responsibilities, but our responsibility as their coach. They need to know that in order to get results, they need to put in the work. We can provide the content, the resources, the support, and the step-by-step strategies, but they are the only ones who need to do the work to get to where they want to go.

You also need to set clear boundaries. Without them, you are creating a codependent relationship and that’s the last thing I want you to do. You should empower your clients to try new things and to take charge of their own success.

It’s okay to care deeply about our student’s success, but it’s not our job to do the work for them. Let’s focus on educating and empowering them so they can achieve their desired results!
