last week i made one of my famous whirl-wind trips back to Vermont for a just-over 24 hour visit for some family travel photography sessions. i am so lucky to still have many clients there that are willing to be flexible with scheduling a session until i fly back (usually just once a year). this year was, by far, my favorite. picture this if you will … the most gorgeous day spent photographing a newborn baby girl for her in-home newborn session, followed by dinner with a childhood best friend, topped off by the most gorgeous sunset … on a golf course … with the most beautiful views of the surrounding mountains … with (wait for it, wait for it) the SWEETEST little man and his parents (who happen to all be stunning). this session couldn’t have gone any better. we arrived at the Kirby Country Club (it doesn’t hurt that the country club happens to be owned by some of my family members, so naturally we got special privileges) just as the sun was starting to set. we jumped in a golf cart (don’t worry, I asked the dad to drive … no one wants a Jersey girl driving a golf cart straight up a steep hill into the sun) and took off for the 1st hole, which happens to overlook the surrounding mountains. here’s where the magic happened … just as the sunset was showing her true beauty, sweet little Owen decided to start chasing golf balls across the green and into the tall grass. His parents naturally chased him, followed by some tickles, a ton of giggles, and BOOM … my job is done. 🙂 I seriously love this little man and his parents. I wish we didn’t live 2000 miles apart … I would be begging them to get in front of my camera monthly. Until my next family travel photography session … to all of my dear friends and clients in Vermont, you will always hold a very special place in my heart. xo
