One of my favorite things about being a coach and mentor is having the opportunity to have powerful conversations with my students, and I recently had one that I want to share with you. This episode is super close to my heart because it talks about the common, yet rarely discussed challenges many of us face when creating a course or coaching program.
My client was creating a course and had been working on it for about 2 months. She ran test ads, made lessons, and set up a sales page with automations. However, despite all of the amazing work she was doing, she found herself questioning if anyone would find value in her course.
Her feelings were totally valid. We all feel this. I’ve felt this! But I also know that if I were quick to give up, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So, I gave her a challenge.
- I asked her to grab a notebook and write down at least 6 things she was going to teach inside of her program.
- I then had her write down what problem each of those things would solve.
- Once she had done that I asked her, “Have you successfully done everything on that list?”
And you know what? She said yes. She had done everything on that list. Think back to who you were when you started. Where were you struggling? That’s who you need to talk to when you are speaking in your marketing because that’s who needs your offer.
It Doesn’t Happen Overnight
One thing I want you to keep in mind when you’re creating your course or program is that nobody becomes a millionaire overnight, I can promise you that. It takes time, patience, and practice. It also takes a lot of trial and error and tweaking things to make sure it’s in alignment with you, your brand, your messaging, and your audience. So that’s a big piece to remember.
